Vitamina de abacate is a thick, creamy shake of ripe avocado blended with cold milk, a touch of sweetness and a squeeze of lime. It is rich, refreshing and packed with healthy fat, which makes it a natural keto breakfast.

About This Dish
In Brazil, vitamina is the everyday word for a fruit smoothie blended with milk, and juice bars list dozens of them. Avocado, or abacate, is mostly eaten sweet in Brazil, often blended into vitaminas or mashed with sugar and lime into a dessert cream. Brazilian avocados are often large, smooth-skinned varieties, quite different from the small, bumpy Hass. Many Brazilians are surprised the first time they see guacamole and avocado toast abroad. A vitamina de abacate is a popular breakfast or afternoon snack, especially in hot weather.
