About This Dish
Batidas are Brazilian cocktails made by shaking or blending cachaça with fruit, juice or coconut. Coconut and passion fruit batidas are among the most popular. They are a familiar sight at beach kiosks and at Festas Juninas, the June festivals. Batidas are often made in large batches for parties. Bottled coconut liqueurs and premixed batidas are sold in Brazilian supermarkets.
