Makowiec — a rolled pastry filled with a rich, sweetened poppy seed paste — is one of Poland’s most iconic Christmas desserts, its spiral cross-section as recognizable as the flavor itself. This version wraps the same poppy seed filling in a pliable almond flour dough.
