Currywurst was invented in Berlin in 1949 and has since become the city’s most beloved — and debated — street food, addictive and wholly German. The sauce is the heart of the dish: a tomato base, seasoned with Worcestershire (or a keto equivalent), vinegar, and curry powder, it is immediately recognisable and impossible to replicate exactly. This keto version nails it, with erythritol replacing the traditional sugar for the sweet-hot balance that defines the original.
