This all-purpose sweet soy marinade works for beef, pork, chicken and mushrooms. Make a jar ahead and dinner is halfway done.

Servings: 1 about 1 cup, enough for 2 pounds of meat
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup allulose
- 1/4 cup grated onion
- 6 cloves garlic minced
- 1 tablespoon grated ginger
- 2 tablespoons toasted sesame oil
- 2 tablespoons water
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 scallions finely chopped
Instructions
- Whisk all the ingredients together until the allulose dissolves.
- Use right away or refrigerate in a jar for up to 1 week. Shake before using.
- Marinate thinly sliced meat for at least 1 hour, and up to overnight.
Notes
Tip: Asian pear is the traditional tenderizer but is high in sugar. A tablespoon of grated kiwi works as a low-sugar alternative; marinate no longer than 2 hours with it, as kiwi softens meat quickly.
